The Machine Ran It Back 1,000 Times, and BourbonBandits Still Can't Catch a Break

A Monte Carlo simulation of the entire upcoming season says a lot about your team — most of it is just math, but some of it is personal.

Catch up on the 2026 Draft Recap before diving into what the simulator thinks happens next.

We fed this league into a computer a thousand times so nobody would have to hear another owner say "I feel good about my team this year" without receipts. The machine drew every player's weekly score from their real career shape, bent it around actual Vegas lines, and played out all 24 seasons' worth of grudges over and over. The result: a full probabilistic portrait of your fate, expressed in 1,000 simulations of pain, glory, and BourbonBandits somehow finishing dead in the middle of everything.

Nobody's guaranteed anything here — this is odds, not prophecy. But odds are still allowed to hurt.

Full Standings, Averaged Across 1,000 Simulated Seasons

Army Division

Air Force Division

  • Even Bauce Can Beat WV (overall seed 6.23) — 7.17-6.83 avg record (range: 1-13 wins), 1425.5 PF / 1388.8 PA (+36.7), playoffs 52.3%, championships 7.9%
  • I am so SMRT, D'OH (overall seed 6.67) — 6.93-7.07 avg record (range: 1-13 wins), 1400.4 PF / 1417.8 PA (-17.4), playoffs 46.9%, championships 8.1%
  • Hands Holzberger (overall seed 6.94) — 6.82-7.18 avg record (range: 1-12 wins), 1390.9 PF / 1406.8 PA (-15.9), playoffs 44.9%, championships 5.5%
  • Corn Shoughers (overall seed 9.98) — 5.09-8.91 avg record (range: 0-11 wins), 1228.2 PF / 1422.6 PA (-194.3), playoffs 10.7%, championships 0.7%

Some quick truths from the averages: 2 Yards Under's +123.2 point differential is the best in the league by a mile, and the sim rewards it with a nearly one-in-four title rate. Corn Shoughers, meanwhile, gets outscored by 194.3 points a season on average and made the playoffs in barely one out of ten simulated timelines — the machine isn't being mean, it's just reading the box scores.

One Simulated Season, Zoomed In

Out of all 1,000 runs, we pulled the one whose total league-wide scoring landed closest to the median — not a prediction, just a snapshot of what an ordinary version of this chaos could look like. In that particular timeline, 2 Yards Under ran away with the 1 seed at 12-2 with 1579.7 points, comfortably the best record in the field. Stinky Bastards (10-4, 1406.0 points) and Kardiac Kids (9-5, 1489.7 points) rounded out the top three seeds, with Foosball is the Devil (8-6, 1457.9), Corn Shoughers (7-7, 1283.9) — yes, that Corn Shoughers, sneaking in as the 5 seed despite the ugly average profile — and BourbonBandits (6-8, 1443.1) claiming the final two playoff spots.

Left on the outside looking in: titysprinkles2 and Hands Holzberger both finished 6-8, I am so SMRT, D'OH also went 6-8, Even Bauce Can Beat WV and American Idol both finished 5-9, and Bush League brought up the rear at 4-10. Points for didn't save anyone here — Even Bauce Can Beat WV actually outscored several playoff teams (1460.2) and still missed the dance.

And in this one illustrative run? The championship belt went to Kardiac Kids — not the top seed, not the highest scorer, just the team that got hot when the machine needed a plot twist.

Awards Season, By The Numbers

Player Awards

  • Offensive Player of the Year — Josh Allen (QB, BUF): 295.4 avg simulated season points. The sim doesn't do surprises here; it just does math, and the math says Buffalo's quarterback breaks the league again.
  • Rookie of the Year — Jeremiyah Love (RB, ARI): 166.1 avg simulated season points. A rookie running back the machine actually trusts — treat that as rare.
  • Most Likely to Bust — Christian Watson (WR, GB): 31.2 avg points on an ADP of 56, projected to finish around #122 overall. Somebody drafted him thinking he was a WR2. The simulation disagrees, repeatedly.
  • Best Value — Jaxson Dart (QB, NYG): 177.5 avg points off an ADP of 120, projected finish around #25. A late-round quarterback that quietly outperforms his sticker price a thousand times over.
  • Mr. Reliable — Drake Maye (QB, NE): 265.3 avg points with only 9% week-to-week variability. The most boring good player in the sim, and that's a compliment.
  • Boom or Bust Award — Omarion Hampton (RB, LAC): 175.4 avg points with 36% variability. Great in some universes, a disaster in others — a true fantasy roulette wheel.
  • Kicker of the Year — Ka'imi Fairbairn (K, HOU): 119.9 avg simulated season points. Somebody's bench is about to be jealous of their kicker.
  • Defense of the Year — Seattle Seahawks (DEF, SEA): 90.6 avg simulated season points. The one unit the sim consistently trusts to actually show up.

NFL Team Awards (Straight From Vegas)

  • Vegas Best Offense — LAR: 26.6 avg implied points per game.
  • Vegas Best Defense — DEN: 20.7 avg opponent implied points allowed.
  • Biggest Vegas Underdog — ARI: an average underdog margin of 8.4 points.
  • Most Boring Favorite — MIN: an average margin of just 3.2 points when favored. Vegas trusts them, but not enough to sleep well over it.

Fantasy League Team Awards

  • Simulated Champion — 2 Yards Under: the sim's clear favorite, with a championship value of 0.245 — the best title rate in the field.
  • Cursed by Variance — BourbonBandits: a variance value of 1.92, the highest in the league. A team whose season could go absolutely anywhere, and probably will, repeatedly, in unfair ways.
  • Cinderella — Even Bauce Can Beat WV: a Cinderella value of 0.523. The sim likes them for a surprise run more than the raw standings would suggest.
  • Paper Tiger — Foosball is the Devil: a Paper Tiger value of 0.692. Strong regular-season profile, but the machine keeps finding ways for it to matter less than it should.

All figures above are outputs of a 1,000-season Monte Carlo simulation built on real historical performance, real 2026 projections, and real Vegas market data. None of this is destiny — it's just what the math says is likely to happen to you, personally, over and over again.
